Hip Hop has always provided a voice and a platform for a marginalized community. This episode we discuss "Consciousness" in Hip Hop. We explore the role of Hip Hop music and culture as a vehicle to affect social and political change and communicate shared experiences in an effort to promote personal growth. We play some classic and new "conscious" tracks that prove that bangers can run deeper than their beat.
